The First Youth Development Congress will be the training platform for all professionals working with children and youth in Puerto Rico. It will take place over the course of three days, from November 12-14, 2013, and aims to bring the best international practices for Youth Development.
The first day will take place on TED.com, the global platform for ideas and innovation. The forum will be designed for 1,000 people to participate in the Sala Sinfónica of Centro de Bellas Artes. Out of those 1,000 people, 300 will participate and make up 30 community groups in Puerto Rico who will be working the second and third day to develop an action plan for children and young people in their communities. Each group will leave with a goal to work over the next year.
The IDJ will provide the tools and follow-up for these groups during the year so they can show results at the Second Youth Development Congress. If you are interested in being part of the 30 communities that will begin to work for their children and youth, call 787-728-3939 or write to firstname.lastname@example.org.
